The portafilter fits Ascaso's Professional range, including Dream PID, Steel, Bar and Barista T.

A bottomless portafilter has many advantages that deliver an even better espresso:

Reveals faults: if the espresso pours unevenly from one side, you need to work on your tamping technique, as the angle has probably been wrong.
Crema: a bottomless portafilter results in even more crema, since the espresso does not come into contact with anything other than the bottom of the portafilter.
Taste: thanks to the crema, the coffee also gains more flavor.
