After the process of removing the caffeine, the tea becomes slightly milder than a traditional Ceylon tea.

There are several methods to remove caffeine from tea; some tea producers use chemical agents to dissolve the caffeine in the tea.

We only want caffeine-free tea where the caffeine has been removed via the CO2 method without the use of chemicals.

The tea leaves are moistened with water, then heated CO2 under pressure is passed through the tea leaves where it binds the caffeine molecules, while the tea leaves remain intact.

Thus the caffeine is filtered out and the tea leaves are left ready for heating and drying.

Ingredients: Pure Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka.
