Ceylon Uva OP White Tea Organic 1 kg

Organic Ceylon UVA OP White tea is one of the more exclusive types of tea, made from the large, soft leaf surfaces.

The leaves are hand-picked and lightly steamed, after which they are dried at low heat so that the moisture disappears from the leaf and flavor and aroma are preserved. The tea is neither fermented nor rolled.

This tea has an especially gentle and mild character; the taste is lightly grassy and has a fine floral note.

Uva is perhaps the most famous tea-producing region in Sri Lanka. It is located in central Sri Lanka, east of both Nuwara Eliya and Dambulla.

In the Uva region black tea is produced with a particularly sweet taste and exotic, woody aroma, which can easily handle a little milk without the flavor disappearing. Some white teas are also produced in Uva.
