Smeg tamper and tamping mat are the ideal tools for properly tamping coffee.
The set includes a 51 mm tamper made of stainless steel with an ergonomic aluminum handle, as well as a molded silicone mat that protects your kitchen countertop when the ground coffee in the portafilter is tamped.
You can use the set with Smeg's espresso machines with the model name ECF01.
The tamping mat is made with a 90-degree angle so it can be placed on the edge of a counter and has two recesses for the tamper and the portafilter, respectively.
