A BRITA water filter jug filters water for limescale and impurities, f.eks. chlorine, which affect taste and odor. With filtered water you'll get the best out of your f.eks. your coffee.
You simply insert the MAXTRA+ cartridge into the jug and set the indicator that shows when you need to replace the cartridge. Then simply pour tap water directly into the jug, which filters the water as you pour. The jug is convenient and can be stored in the refrigerator.
The lifespan of MAXTRA+ cartridges depends on the quality of the local water, f.eks. its hardness. The filter can treat up to 100 liters of water, but to ensure optimal performance you should replace the cartridge approximately every four weeks. We recommend you always buy extra filters so you always have a replacement when it’s time to change.
BRITA MAXTRA+ scale filter is an updated and improved version of the classic Maxtra filter, used in your BRITA water filter jug to remove limescale and impurities from the water that affect taste and smell.
MAXTRA+ cartridges can filter up to 100 liters of water, but should be replaced about once a month for optimal performance.
The filter consists of ion exchangers and activated carbon made from coconut. The activated carbon is produced by first charring the shell of coconuts at approx. 200-300C. Steam is then added to activate the carbon and give it an enormous surface area that can absorb as much limescale as possible.
