The glasses are made of tempered glass, which makes them incredibly robust and suitable for everyday use. The glasses withstand large temperature fluctuations and can be placed in both the freezer and the microwave.

Picardie was designed in 1954 by the French Duralex, and the glasses therefore have more than 65 years behind them - an original, timeless and iconic design that is known and loved worldwide - both in coffee bars, cafés and in private homes.

The tempering process makes the glasses extremely durable - first they are heated to 650 degrees, after which they are quickly and suddenly cooled down to just 20 degrees. This process improves the glass's durability and physical qualities, making them resistant to shocks and temperature changes.
